Class instruction, program materials and online instruction meet the needs of a wide range of students. In class, the teacher provides individualized support and guidance for each student. Online instruction at home is tailored to each child's skill level and needs. The program gives students the skills they need as well as the opportunity to practice these skills under the teacher's guidance, so every student makes substantial progress.
Enrollments are taken until the start date of class, or until the class is fully enrolled.
Refund requests must be made in writing and postmarked at least fourteen days before the first day of class. There is a $15 processing fee per family.
The maximum class size is eighteen students. The class size allows for your child to receive personal attention from the teacher, while also participating in lively group discussions and activities.
After you enroll one student, you will receive a $30 discount for each additional student you enroll. The discount applies to family members at the same mailing address.
A limited number of scholarships are available to students with demonstrated financial need.
Each lesson includes phonics and sight word instruction, games, reading aloud, comprehension-building discussions, and enrichment activities in great picture books. You’ll attend class and learn easy and fun ways to support your child’s reading development.
Between classes, you’ll read aloud at home with your child, and he or she will complete four sessions of online instruction, including phonics, sight words and reading enrichment activities. These interactive lessons are enjoyable and easy to follow, and students can complete them independently.
